Chance of Chance

Step into the world,
Let freedom ring,
Where what you are and where you come from
Don’t mean a thing.
The streets knows no colors, culture, nor creed,
The soul that it’s after is all that it needs.
The road is wide,
The avenue’s name is perdition,
It’s purpose to destroy you,
Discarding your destiny into omission.
Now you’re in deep,
It’s a free for all,
Darkness swallows light
As you hit those brick walls.
You’re at the bottom,
Covered in dust.
Suddenly your mind wonders if,
“in God you can trust”
But shame does not allow you
To think of such a thought,
So you’re swallowed in self-pity
As you’re feeling so distraught.
“How did I get here?,” you ask
As you try to make some sense.
& in the midst of your confusion,
You begin to feel intense.
Something starts to happen,
That you’ve never felt before,
It’s something supernatural
Reaching deep to the bottom of your core.
That shame that tried to persuade you,
And kept whispering no,
Was eradicated by the Mercy
Who refused to let you go!
& he filled you with his Glory,
Transforming you into a Trophy of Grace.
Second chance to a beginning
Of a past that has been erased!

Psalm 42:11 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

He found her

He found her. Covered in all the debris of life. Covered in the choices she didn’t give a second thought to making, only to realize she was facing the consequences and feeling as if there would be no escape. He found her, sitting and staring blankly wishing, desiring to start over again. She was covered in her experience of extreme pain and disappointments. He found her, put down, let down, and torn down. How could she look up from where she was. Gravity weighing her down. He found her, though He never took His eyes off her and He gently whispered to her, “I’ve been here all along. How could I find something I’ve never lost sight of?” At that moment she found Him and her epiphany of how deeply lost she was caused her to become responsive to the invitation before her to a place where she could be free from dwelling. She found herself and looked on past all the things that had placed her in that state of desperation, though in that state she embraced her freedom in her intima...

Before...

Before your rapture comes, before the trumpet blows. Disensitize me Lord, each day that I may grow. I humbly come to you. with courage to confess, Lord lead me by your spirit, that I might die to flesh. I hunger for your will, your purpose and your plan. Because your grace sustains me, to firmly in you stand. I pray each night and day, and magnify your name. I thank you for your precious blood, that clears me from my shame. Your voice I long to hear, that I might not be dormant. Desiring to hear you say, "Well done my faithful servant." Isaiah 33:6 "And there shall be stability in your times, an abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the reverent fear and worship of the Lord is your treasure and his."

Secrets in the Garden

In the Garden there were secrets too unbearable to face. And as deep as they were hidden, they could never be erased. In the Garden it was cloudy as a sign of all the rain. That the little flowers needed, just to wash away the pain. In the Garden there were weeds that were growing all around. Pesticide and roots so deep, trying to knock the flowers down. In the Garden there were secrets that needed to be revealed. No more darkness in the Garden, so the stems could now grow healed. In the Garden there are flowers that are beginning to sprout. For the Gardener has brought sunlight, and has withered the weeds out. Isaiah 61:11 "For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations".
